My Pattern Designer
Comprehensive, illustrated sewing
instructions for every pattern!
Patterns from a paper pattern source generally include one to two pages of sewing instructions that provide basic guidance for how to assemble that project. They generally do not include photo illustrations nor do they provide general sewing instruction. For that, you need to buy a book. And, the book may or may not include all of the features of the pattern project that you happen to be working on. So, you may need to buy another.

My Pattern Designer patterns now come with both - detailed sewing instructions for every pattern in the product AND the in depth fully illustrated construction articles that show you exactly how to assemble your project, walking you step by step from pattern to prep to assembly to finishing. Paper pattern instructions cannot approach the level of guidance, advice and instruction that this resource provides.

From Pattern

There are over 70 construction articles (think chapters of a book) included with MPD at this time, with more being added in future updates. Each pattern has direct links to every article that touches on that pattern. Your "book" is customized to the project at hand, with no distracting or irrelevant material to get in the way of finding the answers you need.

How To Assemble

The basic assembly directions average 1-2 pages long. They are automatically customized to each pattern, with instructions specific to the neckline, sleeve type, or other options that you have selected. You can print out these directions to keep handy while you are sewing.

To Finished!

Here is an example instruction page for one of the MPD blouses...

Many of the lines of these instructions are linked to the full construction articles, providing the added detail that you may or may not need. You can print out these as you like, just one or two or all of them if you wish. These articles were written by a number of MPD's most experienced users - sewers with decades of experience to share and with a thorough understanding of the MPD patterns and pattern-making process.

The combined directions for MPD patterns may run to as few as 10 pages to as many as 50. Use what you need, when you need it.

You can print them out when you are printing a pattern or refer to them later while you are assembling your project. At any time, you can use the full list to review or read any of the articles as you like.

You won't believe just how incredibly useful, flexible, powerful, and profoundly simple this incredible instruction resource can be to any sewer of any experience level.
