Nancy Nason used the exposed zipper closure with her unfitted jacket. With the piping and embroidery details, even a simple design becomes casually elegant.
 

Outdoor Jackets and Coats are lightweight, with linings and facings, but without the interfacings of more tailored outerwear - windbreakers, raincoats, and comfy coats and jackets. These are not winter weight, though both jackets and coats can be worn over other layers. 

The default fit of these jackets is for wearing over a long sleeve shirt. Every outdoor jacket or coat pattern has a fit option that adjusts it automatically for wearing over a a light sweater or for a more casually comfortable fit.

The jacket and coat patterns in this collection include:

• Front, back and sleeve linings for most design choices

• 4 adjustable lengths for jackets

• 6 adjustable lengths for coats

• Dozens of sleeve and sleeve cuff options and settings

• Up to 36 basic neckline variations, plus adjustments

• Closure options and settings

• Shaping and finish options (curved hems, drawstring, hem bands, more)
